Classes

Much like building a house,  Extension Pilates works first to build a solid foundation to support the development of the rest of your ‘home’. Whether it be in a Remedial Pilates class or in an advanced class, you will learn the proper technique to set you up for success. Our goal, to introduce and develop the fundamental principles of safe movement  in a non intimidating environment. Bring us your sore bodies!  We specialize in pain management through safe and mindful movement. Gone are the days where back patients were told to get bed rest. Movement is key and that is why at Extension Pilates and Wellness Coaching, we believe strongly that movement is medicine.  Modifications are provided during your small group class and options are given to ensure you are always in the ‘drivers seat’.

Cross training Pilates

Kicking up the Pilates possibilities with this 50/50 class. Half the class is dedicated to functional, heart rate inducing movement that challenges the core and cardiovascular. The second half of this class is back to the classics...Pilates that is (and sometimes the music)!

Pilates Flow

This class caters to our seasoned pro’s a.k.a. our ‘Pilates Practitioners’. For those who are continuing to expand the level of skill and intensity as we explore and integrate the classical matwork repertoire with new challenges. This class expands the use of equipment such as Therabands, weighted balls, Bolsters, Pilates rings and Bosu balls. 


Remedial & Beginner Pilates

Exploring gentle, mindful and very specific movements to support improvements in strength, flexibility and overall postural integrity. This class is ideal for those experiencing neck, back or other joint  weaknesses. If you are currently working with a health professional, Extension Pilates will remain in close contact with them to ensure your recovery needs are being met.

I have been regularly attending Deana's Intermediate
 
Pilates class for about a year, and I'm so grateful to have

been introduced to Deana! 

I was new to Pilates when I started and very much in need of a wellness component to my routine that would alleviate pain caused by muscle and joint tightness, as well as provide body awareness to keep me improving in my physical health.  Deana's classes met both of those needs. Her routines consider the whole body in a right balance and she creatively and clearly she explains every movement to keep us safe as we exercise, and to build in us a knowledge of our own bodies.  Even in a class setting, Deana's goal is to provide personalized support to her clients. Her true passion for wellness and her enthusiasm are contagious!
